Led Onomatopee’s riso studio, turning a dormant room with two underused risographs into a full print department: tripled the workspace, added a third risograph, a full-color Ricoh and finishing equipment, redesigned the layout and custom furniture, and facilitated an open community program providing access to all 3 risographs to the public through a structured booking system, unique in the Netherlands.
Managed the self-service riso print shop for about 150 clients across 650+ print sessions, powered by a volunteer technician program I built: recruited, trained and supervised 21 volunteers, and cut no-shows from 14% to 4%. Oversaw 25 commission projects for artists, designers and institutions including Design Academy Eindhoven, bringing in roughly 45% of volunteer-driven revenue. Worked with curators to produce high-end risoprinted artworks for Onomatopee’s exhibitions. Grew the workshop program from 8 to 18 courses a year, nearly quadrupling annual participants and more than doubling income. Across 45+ courses reaching 500+ participants, I taught 18 and produced the rest with guest artists, including two Dutch Design Week programs and recurring courses for Design Academy Eindhoven and Sint Lucas. Hired an assistant and mentored 4 interns.
Beyond the studio, I was elected in 2025 to lead Onomatopee’s diversity and inclusion research, following the Code Diversiteit & Inclusie. The work led to a renovation that made the space wheelchair accessible and to unconscious bias training for staff. I also wrote a strategic review of the riso program for the board, benchmarking it against 15 Dutch riso studios.
