Psychogeography & Warm Data

workshop

2-day workshop with first-year iArts Bachelor's students introducing the concept of Psychogeography and Warm Data collection (documenting information with its context which can have multiple layers), using Photovoice method (taking snapshots of objects, scenes, interactions, that have some meaning for them, and capturing notes about those additional meanings) as they investigate the Dutch city of Heerlen as part of a municipal rejuvenation project. After the wandering data collection, students created corresponding maps of the city by hand.
