Points of Transition

performance, installation

‘Points of transition’ is a slow-moving performance and installation. It’s a reclamation of parts of the self that were repressed in an effort to conform to gender ideals. These parts are symbolized by a series of small sculptures, encased in ice, melting next to the performer who is live tattooing their leg hair back where it had been surgically removed.

Technical support, 3D printing and website by designer Ben de Jong.

This project was made possible with the financial support of Cultuur Eindhoven and TAC.
